Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have thanked people for their good wishes over the news that the couple are expecting their first child.
"I want to thank everyone for their warm wishes. We are very happy and would like to thank all our well wishers for their love, support and blessings," Abhishek said.
Junior Bachchan later posted on his Twitter page, "Thank you all for so much love, support, good wishes and blessings. You have made this moment very special for us. Lots and lots of love."
He added later, "On top of the world."
And Abhi's hoping for a mini Ash in the baby. He replied to a message from a follower saying, "Hope it's a girl!"
Aishwarya and Abhishek, who have done many films together including 'Kuch Na Kaho', 'Guru' and
'Raavan' among others, got married April 20, 2007.
On Tuesday (June 21), Abhishek's father and superstar Amitabh Bachchan had announced on his Twitter page that daughter-in-law Aishwarya was expecting a baby.
