Josh duhamel at his hometown minot - Duhamel talks for Minot

In June (11), the Transformers star pledged his support to the cause after rising flood waters destroyed much of his hometown in Minot, North Dakota and left many people in neighbouring regions without shelter.

Duhamel is now pleading with his followers to remember those left homeless and distraught, even though the issue has slipped off the radar of many news networks.

In a post on his Facebook.com page, he writes, "So, I was in Minot, ND the last few days and finally had the chance to see the devastation in my home town. Unfortunately, the media only sticks around when it's new and exciting, but the truth of it is they should be there now to see the aftermath of what a flood does to a population of people."

"Fortunately, the people of Minot are a... very strong willed community of people and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and go to work. They will get through this. My heart is with them."

The passionate plea is accompanied by a number of personal photographs Duhamel took of his devastated hometown.
