While sources close to the superstar are trying to keep the news of his return secret, insiders have revealed that air tickets of an international flight has been booked for Rajini and his family members.
It’s learnt that Rajini’s wife Latha and daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya will be escorting the superstar from Singapore to Chennai.

Rajini thanks fans for prayers
Soon after getting discharged from the hospital, Rajinikanth wrote a letter to his fans, expressing his gratitude for their support and prayers.

Rajini wrote, “I am thankful to my fans who prayed for my speedy recovery. I am back fit and fine because of the sincere and heartfelt prayers.

“The best way to convey my thanks to all of you for the endless love is by entertaining you. I won't forget this for ages. I will soon start Rana.”

Apparently, Rajini will be taking rest for nearly a month before starting off with his shelved project ‘Rana’.

Streets leading to Chennai airport decorated
Reports are trickling in that in order to express their joy on their idol’s return, the ardent fans of Rajinikanth have decorated the streets leading to Chennai airport with posters and banners of the superstar’s films.

Speculating that fans will be thronging at the airport in large numbers, the security at the airport has been tightened.

Expressing his happiness on Rajini’s return, an office-bearer of Rajnikanth Fans Association said, “it is a time to celebrate. 'Thalaivar is back to entertain us. All our prayers have been answered.”

The entire city and its citizens are in a euphoric state which is set to reach higher peaks as Rajni's arrival time approaches. The city has been lined up with huge vinyl hoardings of the Thalaivar to welcome him home.

Since Superstar Rajni is coming back home today and his fans, who have been praying for his health, are ecstatic. Huge hoardings with welcome messages adorn the city. Also, special security arrangements are being done around the airport since a huge crowd is expected to come to cheer Thalaivar.

The source added that the Chennai police department have the task to ensure that Rajni's arrival and thereby commute from the airport to his house is comfortable and convenient. Looking at the devotion with which his fans love him, it won't be a surprise if fans line up the streets to steal a glimpse of their God.
