She was working as a software engineer before pursuing modeling. She also won Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face and Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin during her modeling days. She made her Kollywood debut in Vettri Marans Aadukalam with Dhanush in lead role. She made her foray into Malayalam cinema with Doubles, starring opposite Mammootty, and has subsequently signed half-a-dozen films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
