Santhanam has become famous for his comedy tracks featuring himself and the hero whether it is Jiiva, Karthi, Arya, or STR. In Deivathirumagal however, his comedy routines will be with Anushka. This promises to be a refreshing twist in the tale. Apparently the duo had a great time shooting these scenes and had the entire unit in splits.

Anushka makes a complete departure from the kind of roles she has played so far in Tamil cinema. She is a lawyer in the film, so she has toned down the glamour and will be seen sporting a contemporary desi look complete with form fitting kurtas, leggings, and the like. She also earned a good name for herself on the sets for being a hassle – free and chilled out person.

Not to be outdone, Santhanam also received a lot of praise because in this film he gets to do some emotional scenes and he was great in them. Not only can he make you laugh but he can also make you cry it seems! Together Anushka and Santhanam may just be the surprise packages of Deiva Thirumagal.
