Looks like Arulnithi has been undergoing some major character metamorphosis in his next venture 'Mouna Guru'.
The actor explains that his role as Karunakaran in the film, is going to be very different from his previous roles. ''I've always played characters that are heavy on energy and action. But for this role, I had to completely tone down to fit in. He is a man who does not react much to emotions like love and affection. He is a normal man but his emotions are limited," says Arulnithi.
The actor states that his physical movements were also restricted. He was not allowed to move his head and all his bodily movements were controlled. His previous films had him playing the character of a raw, village boy in 'Vamsam' and a casual city boy in the recent 'Udhayan'. Compared to that, his role in 'Mouna Guru' seems to be toned down. Arulnithi has just wrapped up the shooting for the film and dubbing has commenced. Ask him whether he has any plans to sing in his own films and he scoffs. "I have just started acting! Singing will have to wait," grins the 'Vamsam' actor.
